Are you looking for a skilled and experienced private tutor to help you or your child truly exceed? With fifteen years primary teaching experience in outstanding schools, I have been tutoring individual students and small groups independently since 2018.
I believe that everyone can be successful when their learning pathway is tailored specifically to them, regardless of prior attainment. I use a wide range of modern and traditional teaching methods to achieve this, supported by carefully selected resources that ensure learning is both accessible and meaningful to everyone. Throughout every session I constantly adapt the learning to the needs of the student as and when they emerge with a focus on real progress leading to higher attainment.
As an experienced primary school teacher who has lead on Maths and Science and taught classes in every year group from 1 to 6, I primarily work with students in KS1 and KS2 to raise their confidence and attainment in Maths, English, Science and Computing (including coding in Scratch). However, I also tutor students in KS3 and KS4 working towards their GCSEs and adults looking to gain the Functional Skills qualification at both level 1 and level 2. I also offer bespoke tuition for adults in Maths, English and ICT.
I welcome the opportunity to work with students with a range of special educational needs and have significant experience teaching students with down’s syndrome, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, global delay and learners on the autistic spectrum. I am also able to provide stretch and challenge for students working above age related expectation to ensure they meet their full potential.
